Hey, friend!

We are the McCombs; Ryan and Portia, our son Alasdair and our two doggos Bragg and Mac! We currently live in Chattanooga, TN while we await PCS orders telling us where the Army will be sending us next. 

Ryan and I met in the summer of 2013 and have since tackled a whole lot of life together. From basic training, to marriage at 19 and 20, 1.5 bachelors degrees, deployments and a baby and (currently) 5 moves, countless jobs and cars, we’ve had a wild few years together. 

If we’re being honest, there are a slew of hobbies we’ve enjoyed in the last couple years and quiet literally none that we’ve been able to do consistently. Kayaking, hiking, camping, road tripping, making hard cider, gardening, painting, making mead, reading, writing. But i think that tells you more about who we are in this season of life; two people who’ve experienced a whole lot of change in a short amount of time and are continuously rebuilding and rediscovering as we go. 

We are a military family. I am a stay at home mom and love (almost) every minute of it. We spend as much time as we can outside, we eat lots (lots and lots) of tacos, we plan to homeschool and hope to grow our family through adoption in the next year. 

We pray that while you’re here you never leave impressed with us, but more in awe of The Lord. That in seeing us you never see anything more two sinners stumbling their way closer to Jesus. We pray that you might be encouraged by the mess, the real, the vulnerability and that it may spur you on towards Him too.
